Cost:
$3300 (includes airfare, travel, food, housing in country and exit visa)
Where will we stay?
- We will be staying in a Lodge (think hotel but in Malawi)
Will I need a visa?
There is an exit tax or visa not one for entering to country for under 90 days. (The cost of the trip will cover the fee.)
Will I need shots?
Yes. You will need to get hepatitis A & B. You can get a shot for typhoid or you can take a pill. (4 weeks before going)
Are there other heath concerns?
You will need to get Malaria pills and you will need to have your measles and tetanus shots up to date.
What will you eat?
normal foods with a few variations but nothing really crazy.
Is it safe?
I have been there 3 times and never felt unsafe. It is safer than most major cities in the US.
